For this OAR file, I used the terrain from Linda Kellie’s Tiki Summer region (released under a CC license, no attribution required), and tripled it in size using Paint. I cropped it to 256×256, rotated, cropped, etc… until I had nine separate 256×256 terrains in the right orientation. I saved them as PNG files. Used New World Studio to import them individually into OpenSim, and re-export them again as RAW files. (If there’s an easier way to do this, please let me know!)
Then I imported each new RAW file into a Kitely nine-sim world (megaregion support turned off, to allow me to import individual terrains) using Imprudence. (Firestorm’s terrain import function caused the viewer to crash for me, for some reason.)
Then I saved the entire thing as an OAR file.
This is for anyone who wants a large, nine-sim island with natural-looking beach front on all sides instead of the usual straight drop-off. There’s room there to add waves or sailboats or swimming areas or even little off-shore islands.
I’m attaching both the Kitely OAR here — yes,it’s a single OAR that covers nine regions — plus the source terrain files (RAW and PNG) for each of the nine regions. The whole thing is released under the Enerific license — i.e., CC license, but no attribution required. (Really, where would you put the attribution, anyway? Carve it into the terrain rock?)

Sadly, Kitely’s “replace world” function reports this OAR file is corrupted.

I just uploaded it from scratch — both my original OAR and a fresh download (and unzip!) from OpenSim Creations, and both loaded fine.
The “replace world” function also worked.
Did you unzip the file first?
The attachment here includes not only the OAR itself, but the terrain files as well. When you unzip it, you will get a folder with an OAR file — .oar extension — plus a bunch of image files for the terrains.

Argh — silly me! You’re right, I neglected to open the archive. It worked great once I did that. Thanks for the resource! It’s now the basis for “Mega Sandbox” in Kitely.
